My role

Lead Interaction Designer & Developer

After redesigning and migrating an existing blog for YOU Magazine, I was approached by the business to transform this into a much larger project.

I was responsible for leading both the design and the development of the Magazines first major digital platform.

Some of my key responsibilities included the following:

Re-branding, responsive design, front-end development, WordPress migration, AWS deployment, load/security testing, acceptance testing, third party management.

The brief

Part 1

Design and develop a brand new online editorial platform to engage the YOU magazine audience and positively affect their buying behaviour and overall brand perception.

Part 2

Design and oversee the development of an online ticket booking system – required to advertise and sell tickets to a three day event in partnership with Estée Lauder.

The End Result


The Launch

You Big Beauty Weekend – a three day event in partnership with Estée Lauder, marked the successful launch of the project.

All tickets were sold through the ticket booking platform that was designed and delivered as part of the brief.

The Results

The new website saw the average daily session increase by 3500% , going from an average of 80 sessions per day to over 3000.
